DescriptionEssential Responsibilities: Waiter and Waitress: Take orders and serve food and beverages to customers. Welcome the customers and escort them to the table. Take down the customer’s order and then enter that in the computer which helps in billing later. Pass on the order to the chefs in the kitchen and make sure that the food reaches the right table. Recommend the wine and other drinks to the customers. Suggest names of dishes to the customers and helps them decide which dishes may be combined. Garnish the items and need to check if the food has been presented well before serving it. Before and after every meal, prepare the table, put new linen, set up flowers and cutlery. Take feedback from the customers about the food and check if the latter needs anything. Bring the bill to the customers. Storekeeper: Order goods and supplies to ensure that maximum/minimum stock levels are maintained. Liaise with senior managers on the ordering of goods which fall outside the agreed financial parameters. Ensure that goods received are of the quality and quantity ordered and in accordance with the agreed price. Ensure the time use and correct completion of all administration in respect of deliveries. Complete all documentation and take the necessary action in cases of non-delivery, substandard deliveries or over pricing. Ensure that all items are stored correctly, in terms of temperature, humidity and shelf life and that no food items are stored on the floor. Ensure correct stock rotation and that issues are effected on a first in, first out basis. Ensure that all issues are made against requisitions and that no items leave the storeroom without the appropriate documentation or signature. Ensure maximum security of all storeroom areas, that no unauthorised person enters the stores or is issued with a key allowing access. Inform management and follow agreed procedures in the case of spoilage or damage of any item. Take stock at prescribed intervals and ensure that all necessary administration is completed without delay. Attend meetings or training courses as required. Front Office Assistant Manager: In charge of all front desk operations. Dispatch courier mails and keep record of them. Coordinate ID and other visitor’s cards. Answering questions about the companies’ policies, services and handling of any client complains. Come up with financial rate, create budget and decide which departments receive certain allocations. Train front office employees on better customer service. Oversee front desk operations and ensure client receives 100% satisfaction. Resolve client complains in a timely manner and respond on time to any complaints. Participate in interacting with guests and ensuring that shift duties are handled by front desk employees. Handle guest security and create functional emergency procedures. Handle all of the company’s petty cash. In charge of faxing documents to various locations on a timely manner.
